“The River That Unites”
Just as the Tagus embraces two countries — Portugal and Spain —,Brazil was the embrace where two hearts came together.
He, José Correia Pacheco — Portuguese, with a steady soul.
She, Maria Águas Santa Barrios — Spanish, with a sweet name and a strong presence.
It was there, far from the banks of the Tagus, that they met and built a new life.
From that union, a large family was born.
I was born.
And I grew up surrounded by stories of Portugal, Spain… and the Tagus.
The Tagus did not unite them in their homeland, but perhaps it was the river’s invisible current that whispered the path to reunion across the sea.
Today, I follow the river with gratitude and curiosity.

I want to see it with my own eyes.
To fly over it. To feel its breath.
And perhaps, hear in its waters the echo of all that brought me here.
The project Tagus – Portugal’s Artery is just that: more than an aerial journey, it is an inner journey.
A return to history. To origins. To what connects us all.
