Carlos Rix - Ramiro Spínedi

Ramiro (53) is a seasoned pilot and paragliding instructor with over 25 years of experience in both free and powered flight. He started paragliding in 1998 and fell in love with paramotoring in 2003, adopting it as his preferred way of flying — especially over the skies of Portimão, Praia da Rocha, Alvor, and other beautiful areas of Portugal.

In 2005, he became a certified tandem pilot in Tenerife, and soon integrated the paratrike into his daily flight routine with passengers. He is certified by the Portuguese Aeronautics Federation (FPAero)(https://www.fpaero.pt/).

Ramiro also holds an instructor license from the Dominican Republic. Today, he travels the world offering training, tandem flights, and spreading the passion for paragliding — always in search of new skies and experiences.

Now, Carlos embraces a new mission: to document the entire journey of the Tagus River through Portugal, using aerial images, interviews, and authentic videos. A paramotor expedition to reveal the essence of the Tagus and the stories of the communities along its path — from Vila Velha de Ródão to Lisbon.

This is an independent, poetic, and visual project created by someone who believes in the power of good stories. --- If you also believe in the importance of showing what is beautiful and essential in the world, join him on this journey.  ( For more details check the Summary. )
